Then we took a quiz.then they went back to their room and ms. chism tought sience.It was about shapes also.And then we took a quick quiz on the butterfly cycle.And then we sang songs for ustream. MAKE SURE TO WATCH THEM!!!then we got snacks. and that is how our day was like!

Wednesday, 2-20

This morning, we learned the cursive letter "o" and had our class pictures made. We combined classes today to do our math/science work. In math, we did Math Magician and discussed solid shapes. We learned that a square can be a rectangle, but a rectangle can't be a square. We also learned about the vertebrate group "fish" today. We read a betta fish life cycle book and Somewhere in the Ocean. We picked out which ocean animals were fish and which were mammals. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MRS. KELLEY!!!! : )

Thurs, 2-7

I don't think we've posted all week. It's been crazy!!! Monday . . . well, it was Monday. Tuesday was our field trip, so we weren't even here to blog. Yesterday, Mrs. Bruno and Mrs. Johnson had several meetings and didn't have two spare seconds to sit down and blog. So, that brings us to TODAY! Whew!!! We loved our field trip! We saw Young Abe Lincoln, and it was very good! Afterwards, we drove in the rain to the Southern Museum of Flight. We had a blast learning the science of airplanes. This week we've also been working on our end-of-term assessments. We'll have to continue those next week, as well. These are NOT our favorite things to do! :(

Super Bowl of Math

Happy Friday and Super Bowl of Math Day!!!!! When Mrs. Johnson's class came over, we did Bedtime Math. This morning we learned about puzzles. Our math problems were all about the pieces that make up the puzzles, as well as the pieces that get LOST from the puzzles!!! :) We did math centers that focused on FOOTBALL!!!! We played football math memory. We played Go Fish. One center was adding numbers to find the value of our favorite NFL team. The fourth center had the Ravens and the 49ers against each other in a place value game. We had lots of fun! We even got a special little football treat. Our prediction for the game is that the Baltimore Ravens will win. We'll see!
