happy Thursday.We went on a feild trip yesterday.We had to eat outside for lunch boo!!!At golden flake we saw how they made chips and we tasted some.Then we went to birmingham southern colege.We made a ring made out of wire and then we went down a slide that sounded like a toilet.And then we hopped on a bus that took us to the gardens.And then we hopped back on the bus and then we came back to school.Then we ate our snack.

Happy Monday! Mrs. Johnsons class came over and we did a mesering sheet.Than we went to speshle.
So glad to be back at school this week. Our conference was great, and our presentation went well. I missed being here, though. Looking forward to our field trip this week! -Mrs. Bruno

Happy Monday!
We came in and unpacked. Mrs. Johnson's class did not come over today because we had to go to the computer lab at 8:30. We did a new math program called Mathletics. It was awesome, and we all loved it! Our favorite part was competing against our classmates, as well as other children around the world. We can't wait to earn our first certificates.
We took our math fluency test and then worked on measurement word problems.
We are beginning to wrap up our immigration unit. Today we looked at some of the tests that immigrants would have had to pass to get through Ellis Island. Some of the questions were super easy, but others were very hard.

Mrs. Bruno is happy that April 1 is gone and there won't be any more April Fool's jokes for another 364 days!!!! : )
This morning, we watched a short video clip on Ellis Island and checked our webcams. Mel and Sydney are still on "Hatch Watch." We can't wait to see the newest owlets!!!!
We worked further on our immigration papers. Most of us are done with our planning sheet and a good many are finished with our rough drafts. We'll edit them in Mrs. Johnson's room tomorrow.
We did Math Magician before moving on to a new unit in math. We're beginning studying about measurement, so Mrs. Bruno had us measure things around the room. There was one catch . . . we had to measure with our PENCILS, so nobody got the same answers. We were all over the board. Mrs. Bruno's point was that we should all be measuring with the same tool. So, we're going to do the same exercise over tomorrow with a standard unit of measure. It should be MUCH better that way!!!
