This morning we red Gus and Grandpa.

We had an incredibly busy day today!  From the moment we walked in until the bell rang this afternoon (actually a few minutes AFTER the bell rang), we were going non-stop!!!!  I think my favorite part of the day was when we were working on our balance and weighing science unit.  What GREAT scientific thinking we were doing today!  Good job, kids!!!!!

We came and did three word propiums.Than Alix came to read
to use.

We began addition with regrouping today.  It went very well.  We used the long branching method, but we'll decrease to the short method over the next few days.  I think we'll grasp the addition with regrouping very quickly, but subtraction may present a little more of a problem.

This morning wev wnt to art then we went to P.E.After that we did math magician .Afterthat we did a word proplem.Then we watched some vidios of space.

We had two great opportunities today.  Mrs. Bruno's homeroom got to learn a math game to share with our Peachtree friends next week.  Mrs. Johnson's homeroom had the chance to teach Mrs. O'Brien's class how to branch addition and subtraction problems.  We had a lot of fun with both!!!

This morning, we had the opportunity to go to art team.  We almost finished our newspaper Husky heads and collage backgrounds.  We also worked on cards for Mrs. Schmitt and Mrs. Glover.  We came back and went to Mrs. Johnson's room while Mrs. Bruno did math intervention.

During math, we practiced addition and subtraction branching.  Congrats to Lake, Trace, Tyler, Jaqson, Colin, Will, Carson, Caroline, Harper, and Jivone for PERFECT papers!!!  YEA!!!!!  Everyone else understood the concept, but made careless mistakes.  We're really trying to cut down on careless errors!

We had a great science lesson after our word problem.  Lots of people asked fantastic questions.  We're excellent scientists!!!!  : )

Our day ended with A PIZZA PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Yum!!!!

This morning we went  to music after pe did read  aloud  we did short branching and a challge to.

This morning, after copying spelling words and working on spelling sentences, we had our vision screenings.  We went to PE, then came back and combined classes in Mrs. Johnson's room for language.  We did phonics and read a fable and an autobiography, The Two Races and Winners Never Quit, respectively.

In math, we learned the shortcut branching method.  Most of us liked it better than the long way.  After lunch, we talked about bundling ones, tens, and hundreds by looking at a skill on Dreambox.  We also worked on adding and subtracting tens.  We did really well!!!!

It's been a fast day!!!
