We really like today's cool date!! :) When Mrs. Johnson's came this morning, we read and discussed a biography on Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon. We had great discussions about space, the earth, and the moon. We talked about rockets and determined how old Mr. Armstrong was when he landed on the moon. We also determined his age when he died a couple of months ago. Using a map, we found the state where he was born and died. We also located other places of importance, like Southern California (where he got his master's degree) and Florida (where he launched into space). In math, we continued Math Magician and branching. Then, we did our word problems and learned about what makes us have seasons. It's been a great day. We can't wait to visit the nursing home tonight!!!!! : )
